About Cleddau Reach VC School
Cleddau Reach V.C. school is a Church of Wales Voluntary Controlled Primary admitting children between the ages of three and eleven. The school was established in September 2010 after the amalgamation of Burton V.C. Primary and Llangwm V.C. Primary. Most of the children who attend the school live in the villages of Burton, Houghton, Llangwm and Rosemarket.
In April 2013 the school moved to the new school buildings and grounds near to Deerland Road in Llangwm. The new building provides a modern, stimulating and well equipped learning environment. The school web site is at www.cleddaureachschool.org.uk
About the Friends Association
The Friends Association came together to support the school having previously run as two separate groups - one for Burton VC school and the other for Llangwm VC school. However with the amalgamation in September 2011 to form the new Cleddau Reach VC school the 'friends' also joined together.
We are a charity fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school. We help provide extra, valuable resources for the children as well as subsidising costs such as transport to the annual pantomime, or to sporting events. Through our Chairperson of the last 6 years, Lorraine Allman, we run a FILM CLUB which started in Autumn 2013 and is very popular.
The success of the Friends Association is entirely dependent on the support of all parents, staff and the community, so find out how you can support us and get involved - we have lots of fun!
