School projects supported by the Friends Association
We support a number of different projects each year, depending on the needs of the school.
Proposed expenditure for 2018 includes:
- Extension of school mural to Early Years - working with artist Fran Evans
- External storage facility for early years play equipment
- Playground toys for Infants and Juniors
- Ongoing maintenance and upkeep of pond area (annual cost), Jas Cutting
- Subsdising cost of transport to annual Christmas pantomime
- Subsidising Spring/Summer term class trips
- Library resources stock
- Year 6 leaving gifts
- Year 2 graduation to Juniors gifts
- Year 6 residential trip to Sealyham
- Easter competition (all classes)
- Year 5 residential trip to Cardiff (entertainment for 1 evening)

Expenditure agreed for 2017 can be downloaded here (PDF). In May 2017, Friends funded a Samba session for all the pupils to enjoy. Here are some photos:

- Class trips in Spring/Summer - £2 per child
- National Puppet Theatre Visit, Foundation Phase
- Outdoor Learning Resources for each class
- Playground games
- £50 for each class (8) to choose new books
- Year 6 leaving gifts
- Year 2 graduation to Juniors gifts
- Easter competition (all classes)
- Year 5 residential trip to Cardiff (entertainment for 1 evening)
- Subsdising cost of transport to annual Christmas pantomime
Fundraising activities for 2014 supported:
- Early Years playground toys
- Provision of shaded area in Early Years playground
- Other playground toys and equipment, including wall based puzzles & drawings
- Whole school 'Our Wonderful World' wall hanging
- School Easter competition prizes
- Year 6 children leaving gifts
- Year 2 graduation to Juniors gifts
- Subsidising school trip for each class
- Subsidising the cost of transport to Christmas pantomime
- Gazebos (3) for shade for the pupils outside
- Annual training for use of defibrillator (Autumn 2014)
Here are some photographs of the beautiful wall hanging 'Our Wonderful World' the children have created, and which Friends partially funded:
Fundraising for 2013 supported the following:
- School trip for each class to be subsidised by £3 per child
- Year 6 children leaving gifts
- Year 2 graduation to Juniors gifts
- Contribution towards development of Junior Playground area (this is part of a larger project to both move and safely instal equipment from the old school as well as develop the area further)
- Development of the Storytelling and pond area in collaboration with Paul Webb working with each class
- Subsdising cost of transport to annual Christmas pantomime
- Purchase of indoor/outdoor bean bags and giant floor cushions to be used across the school and at FILM CLUB
- Purchase of outdoor seating to the front area of the school
In addition to the above, Chair of Friends Lorraine Allman leads a Film Club for Year 2 upwards which started in the Autumn Term 2013.
Here are the fabulous outdoor benches made by the Cilrhedyn Woodland Centre in Pembrokeshire which arrived February 2014:
A wonderful photograph of Year 2 pupils as they graduate to Juniors. Friends are delighted to have supported them by providing a small gift for each pupil.
Huge congratulations to Year 4 pupils who took part in the 'Taste of Pembrokeshire' competition and came second. A fantastic achievement - you should all be very proud!
